FactorCloud's Claude integration: connect Claude to your FactorCloud data

FactorCloud's Claude integration: connect Claude to your FactorCloud data, over a photo of invoices next to a laptop.

FactorCloud's Claude integration is a plugin that connects Claude to a factor's own FactorCloud data through the Open API. Once it's connected, Claude can look up invoices, schedules, payments, and account details in your book, then answer a question or draft a reply with the current numbers.

We built it as a documented Claude integration, so your team or your IT partner can set it up against your own account. Several clients already run it in production. Several of them have put Claude in the customer service inbox, where it handles the "did you get this invoice?" emails that eat up a factor's day.

How the Claude plugin works

Claude doesn't live inside FactorCloud. It stays in your own Claude workspace, and the plugin connects it to your FactorCloud account through our Open API.

  1. Connect Claude to your FactorCloud data using the integration docs.
  2. Ask Claude a question, or point it at a workflow such as an inbox.
  3. Claude calls the Open API to pull the records it needs from your account.
  4. Claude answers or drafts a response using that live data.
  5. A person on your team reviews the draft and sends it.

Because it runs on the Open API, the plugin sees the same data the rest of your connected factoring stack uses. There's no export, no spreadsheet in the middle, and no copy and paste between systems.

How factors use the Claude plugin in the customer service inbox

Every factor knows these emails. A client writes in: "Did you get this invoice?" "When will the advance hit?" "What's my reserve balance?" Each one takes only a few minutes, but someone has to stop, open FactorCloud, find the record, and type out the invoice status.

Several FactorCloud clients have wired Claude into their customer service inboxes to handle that work. Here's how it runs:

  1. A client email comes in: "Did you get invoice 4471 from Tuesday?"
  2. Claude reads it and works out what's being asked.
  3. Claude looks up the relevant data in FactorCloud: whether the invoice was received, where it stands, and the advance amount.
  4. Claude drafts a reply with the current status, advance amounts, and anything else the client needs.
  5. Someone on the team reads the draft and hits send.

It's an automated email response with a person still in the loop. The reply uses live numbers from the ledger, not a canned template, and nobody on the team has to dig for them. Your staff spends their time on the emails that need judgment.

This kind of setup is one way to grow your book without hiring. It also works well next to the client portal: clients who check the portal get answers there, and clients who email still get a fast, accurate reply.

Other ways to use the Claude integration

The inbox is one setup. Once Claude is connected to your FactorCloud data, the same plugin handles other back-office questions:

  • Drafting collection emails personalized to each debtor, based on their open invoices and payment history.
  • Summarizing any account in one sentence or one page before a client call or a credit review.
  • Explaining unapplied cash, exceptions, and short pays, so your team starts from an answer instead of a search through remittances.
  • Answering ad-hoc reporting questions across your book that a saved report doesn't cover.

The exceptions work fits next to automated cash application. Automation matches the payments that line up, and Claude helps explain the ones that don't.

Your team stays in control

Factoring data includes client bank details, debtor payment histories, and the invoices behind every funding decision. The Claude plugin is set up so people stay in charge of it.

  • Claude works with your own FactorCloud data, through the Open API, under the access your account grants.
  • Permissions and audit logging carry over from FactorCloud.
  • Claude drafts. A person on your team reviews and hits send.

FactorCloud is SOC 2 Type II certified. You can see how the plugin fits with our other integrations.
